It’s nearly a year since the pandemic closed my office.
But my team and I moved to new ways of supporting constituents, online and by phone. We are still here, working hard to help.
In the past 12 months more than 1000 cases from local people have been dealt with. The cases which are still open are those we are still in the process of resolving.
Coronavirus has dominated all of our lives for the past year, and this is reflected here. In many cases this has involved making representations on behalf of constituents who need help or advice and also continuing to push for the support that the UK Government is still failing to provide.
But it’s not all about Covid-19…
My team and I continue to deal with all manner of problems on behalf of constituents every day.
This could be anything from an issue with council services,
housing, the police, the Department for Work and Pensions, HMRC, the local health board, the UK Government…
